Day One-Monday:
Daily goal: 1,400
Writing space: the desk in my room
Non-writing plans: Eye appointment/errands, finishing blog wrap up in the afternoon
Writing music: Pirates of the Caribbean 3’s soundtrack from my project’s Spotify playlist
Snacks consumed: A mocha and a bagel/cream cheese
Total time writing: about an hour and a half
Total words for today: 1,425
Thoughts:
Well…I got up at 6 and meant to start around 7, but I was tired and procrastinated with blog hopping on my phone and I had to make breakfast, so I ended up starting around 8:30ish.
I finished and made my goal about a half hour before I had to leave for my eye appointment which made me really happy that I was able to actually write that much in such a short amount of time even before 10am! XD I think having a full outline is REALLY going to help, though I haven’t made it to the end of the prologue yet, so at this point I think it’s going to be really long. 😛
Ugh and it’s SO sloppy so far cuz it’s never as good as it sounds in your head, and also this is my first attempt at writing in 3rd person so that might be why it feels so strange. I’m hoping I’ll be able to adjust and get the feel of things when I get to chapter one and switch to 1st for my main character’s POV, though.

Day Two-Tuesday:
Today I didn’t write anything because yesterday afternoon the eye appointment and errands ended up taking like all day. So when we got home I was too tired to work ahead on my Wrap Up Post so I had to do it today and they always take me forever, so I didn’t think my brain could handle writing for Camp Nano AND a whole blog post in one day. 😛

Day Three-Wednesday:
I meant to start writing at 7am but I was just too tired, and last night I made last minute plans to go for coffee and finally hang out with my friend who’s been out of the country for the last 5 months and just came home in March, so I was going to meet her at 10:30am. By the time I was up and dressed and had breakfast though I only had like 30 or 45 mins or something and I just decided to save writing for when I came home. So before I left I ended up organizing my project’s Pinterest board instead, which was…somewhat productive I guess? XD
And then when I got home my mom had to take me to the DMV to get my permit renewed cuz it was expiring today but I still felt like I needed a few more months of practice. So, we waited for an hour just to find out that now that I’m 21 I have to take the alcohol awareness test which stupid me didn’t even think of and I was just not prepared to do it right that second cuz I hadn’t really studied the manual since I took the test for my permit the first time I got it.
So then that took a while and by the time I got home it was late afternoon and I was kinda depressed and annoyed with myself that I didn’t just get my license like everyone else when I was 16, so yeah I just felt like reading for the rest of the day instead. So…nothing happened today. XD

Day Four-Thursday:
Daily goal: 4,200 (because I missed Tuesday and Wednesday and including today I had to triple it to catch up)
Writing space: desk in my room and the living room
Non-writing plans: possibly do errands and write at the library in the afternoon, make lunch to take to work tomorrow, shower, re-study for permit test.
Writing music: songs from my project’s Spotify playlist
Snacks consumed: iced caramel mocha
Total time writing: including breaks; (cuz I’m too lazy to do math 😛 ) about 13 hours
Total words for today: 4,710!!!!!!! That’s the most I’ve ever written in one day! I think before this was only 3,500ish, so this is amazing! 😀 😀 😀
Thoughts:
Today was AWESOME! I wrote 1,000 more words than I ever have in a day before and it felt SO GOOD!
I woke up at 7 but I took too long blog hopping, making breakfast, and fixing my watered down mocha cuz I put too much ice in it, so I didn’t really start writing until 10:15ish.
I worked nonstop until almost 2pm and my stomach screamed at me to stop writing and feed it lunch, and by that point I had 1,959 words left to go to meet my daily goal.
I ate food, blog hopped, and watched YouTube for a couple hours cuz I was tired after going without a break for four hours, so then I didn’t get back to writing until 4:15.
Wrote for another four hours until I had dinner about 8ish, and my mom wanted to watch a show with me while we ate so I did that, then started writing again at 10 and finished around 11:30. And actually I think I met my goal around 10:30 or 11, but I didn’t want to stop in the middle of the scene I was in cuz I was on a roll, so I ended up writing 500 more words than I needed to, which was awesome. 😀 😀 WHO AM I?!
And also my original plan was to at first just finish my prologue and see where that got me in my word count and go from there, but…I’m STILL not done with my prologue. XD I wrote 4,710 words after already having 1,425 words of it and it’s STILL not done. XD Ugh I knew it was going to be really long. It’s 13 pages so far, so I guess that’s not too bad, but also I think I chose a pretty small font so I can fit a lot in. And I don’t think that much has happened yet…and yet I have 6,000 words. And I’m not even to chapter one. O.O Is that bad?
XD I mean I know I’ll probably break some of it up into flashbacks later, but I knew that doing that would get way too complicated for me to handle right now, and I’m doing my best not to be a perfectionist, but AHH I KNOW THIS IS GOING TO BE A HUGE MESS. D: XD

Day Five-Friday:
Today I had to work all day at the fairgrounds, so I knew I would be too tired to write today, so I thought I would just catch up sometime this weekend.

Day Six-Today:
I tried to get up early, but for some reason I was just to tired so I got up around 11:30, made myself lunch, and started working on this post! I thought about writing a little later tonight, but I think today should just be a blogging day so I can get this up and pre-write my post for Tuesday so I can get into a more consistent writing routine next week. So I guess to catch up tomorrow will be another 4,000+ word binge. XD And hopefully I can actually get through my never-ending prologue and I won’t have to write in 3rd person anymore! (Well until I make it to the epilogue at the end.) I’m so excited to make it to my protagonists’ POV though! She’s going to be the Queen of Sass so it’ll be so fun! XD XD

Wow, you’ve had some great progress! I’ve written in both third and first person, but for some reason first person tends to be my happy spot! My Camp NaNo is going well so far! Cheers to us both!

I did pass! So now I can practice again. 🙂 But I think I only have until September now until it expires again so now I definitely have to get my license this summer which is…terrifying. O.O
Oh yay! I’m glad you got it! 🙂

It sounds like you are having so much fun with Camp Nano! I wanted to do that – but felt like I would have more time later to commit to regular Nano. Good luck.

Thank you! Yeah, Regular Nano always seems like a more hectic time for me, but I try to do both camps and the real one every year just to make a habit of writing even if I know I’m going to fail my goal. XD
