Hey fellow book lovers! Okay, I know I said today I was finally going to talk about my writing WIP, but…yeah that didn’t happen as you can see. XD I just have been really struggling to be productive with like, literally everything. I’ve been working on it, but the post isn’t quite ready yet, so I will post it on Saturday to give myself a little more time. 😉
So instead, in honor of my local school district getting out for the summer this week and my roommate’s graduation last week, I thought it would be fun to do the Superlatives Book Tag! You know, like awards in yearbooks for best dressed, cutest couple, etc? We are doing that, but giving the awards to my books! 😀
This tag was created by Chelsea and I’m really excited to do it, so let’s go already! XD

Best Dressed: A book with a beautiful cover.

This cover is SO pretty! I love the painted look and the bright colors, and I really love that it’s set in the valley where I live, so seeing the same mountain on the cover that I can see out my window fills me with all kinds of warm and fuzzy feelings. ❤

Class Clown: A book that made you laugh out loud.

I freaking LOVED THIS BOOK! I have no idea why I thought I wouldn’t like it! I guess I just thought it sounded a little too weird for me, and I knew next to nothing about Jane Grey, so I wasn’t sure if I would get the humor. But my library had it on Libby so I thought, eh why not listen to it on audiobook and see if I like it?
And OMG. Seriously, the BEST decision I’ve ever made!!! The book was amazing, the narrator was literally so great, the way she said things and acted everything out and did all the voices was just perfect and made it all the more entertaining!
You don’t have to like historical fiction or know anything about Jane Grey or even like books in general, if you have any kind of sense of humor and don’t take it too seriously, (seriously, don’t. you’re not supposed to, that’s the point! 😛 ) there is no way you wouldn’t enjoy this! XD
I love it so much I want to buy a physical copy to keep for myself to reread, and download the audiobook to make my mom listen to and so I can relisten to it a million times! XD ❤

Cutest Couple: A book that features your favorite OTP.

When I think of my favorite OTP, I always think of Megan and David. I just love them so much! ❤ XD

Most Popular: The most hyped book on your shelf.

Out of the books I’ve read, honestly it’s probably The Hunger Games. I was thinking about going with Six of Crows, but I really don’t think many people outside the book community really know about it cuz the Netflix show isn’t out yet, which is going to take awhile. And honestly I just liked The Hunger Games Better. XD Sorry.

Out of the books on my TBR, it’s probably Throne of Glass. I’m so intimidated by this series because I know it’s one either you either really love or really hate, and I want so bad to love it because for some reason I have just been craving a big long fantastical fantasy series to get into lately. (Probably because I’ve been trying to write fantasy and my creative tanks needs fuel!) Seriously though, I have even considered starting to watch Game of Thrones which has never appealed to me before. XD

Nicest Car: The most expensive book you own.

Probably this edition of Jane Eyre? I think originally a new copy was like $50, but somehow I got it used on Amazon for like $6 instead, so it’s cool. XD

Worst Car: A book with a bad cover but still had a solid story that took you for a ride.

This one. The cover is so boring and ugly, but then again what else would you expect from a nonfiction published in 2002? XD
But I really can’t express how much I loved this book! It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but I promise it isn’t boring! It’s short and easy to get through, and the amazing stories from so many different people stranded in Newfoundland during 9/11 are just so amazing and some will really make you laugh, some will make you sad, but all of them will warm your heart! It’s such a beautiful book about how in the midst of tragedy people came together to show love and compassion for each other, no matter who they were or where they came from. You should definitely read this book! Especially if you like the Broadway musical, Come From Away. Some of the same people portrayed in it are mentioned in this book too! 😀

Biggest Nerd: The nerdiest book you own (or a book you are a total nerd for that you feel like you have to justify owning.)

I don’t know, probably this one? Cuz it’s called Geekerella? XD Or idk maybe The Day the World Came to Town. I feel like if anyone saw it on my shelf I’d have to explain it. XD

Most Likely to Be Late: A book that is under hyped and you are still waiting for the fandom to arrive.

I really wish the fandoms for these were bigger cuz they’re some of my favorites, but if it hasn’t happened by now it probably never will.

Most Likely to Succeed: A first book in a series that is going places.

I wasn’t sure what to put for this question since I mostly read backlist books, and there are so many completed series that have already gone places that I’m just now getting into, but I just finished reading this and I LOVED it! Even though it’s a standalone, there’s a companion coming out this fall that I’m really excited for now! I just really fell in love with all the characters and I’m so excited to get back into this world and see what happens in the next book!

Most Athletic: The biggest book you own (physical size or page length.)

Definitely this one! It’s 736 pages and the longest and biggest book I’ve ever read! Luckily it’s just a collection of fairytales and classic short stories, so it wasn’t too hard to get through, but it is a pretty big book so it was definitely a challenge. XD

Most Intellectual: The most thought-provoking book you’ve read.

Oh man, I don’t even know. There’s so many. I guess this one is one of them?

Best All Around: A book or series that you will always recommend to anyone.
Ohhhh soooo mannnnyyy. I think I’ll just give a link to my favorites list on Gooreads. XD

Okay I will try my best to get my brain in gear and get my WIP post ready to post on Saturday. See you then! 🙂

Well I don’t think I had ever even heard of it before I started blogging a couple years ago so that’s why. XD Plus for a long time I just didn’t know if I would like it and I’ve heard so many negative things so I never picked it up. But now that I’m on a fantasy kick I will soon!

Throne of Glass is such an (over) hyped book that I still haven’t read it OR ACOTAR series. 🤣🤣 Cool book tag! It kinda reminds me of high school.

Yeah…I’m not touching the ACOTAR series. O.o XD But I think if I would like any of Sarah J. Maas’ books it might be Throne of Glass. 😛
Thanks! That’s why I picked it. XD

This is so cute! I really enjoyed TOG, but it can seem a little intimidating at first. My Last Jane is definitely worth the read 🙂

I absolutely adored Before I Fall, and I agree – it definitely makes you think. Have you seen the movie? I found that super-good as well. I rarely laugh out loud on a book but My Lady Jane definitely smiling and laughing nearly all through – it’s hands down of the most entertaining novels I’ve ever read. I might check out the audio after your words on it. I don’t really listen to audio books but I try to get to the ones people love. 🙂 Great post. 🙂
