Browsing Blogger’s Bookshelves

Hi guys! Today I am doing something really fun! I’ve seen Lauren @ Northern Plunder do this thing on her blog called Browsing Blogger’s Bookshelves, which is basically what it sounds like. We send each other pictures of our own bookshelves and pick out books we’d recommend, books we’d add to our own TBR, and etc. 🙂 It looked so cool, so I asked if I could participate, and she said yes and sent me these pics of her shelves!

You can see my shelves and her opinions on my books over on her blog here, so go check it out! 🙂

I’m so excited to “browse” them, so let’s go! 😀

Lauren: All read except for Leigh Bardugo, a few Schwab books, and currently reading The Antidote.

Already on my TBR:

  • A Darker Shade of Magic (I reaaaallllly need to get to this series.)
  • Vicious
  • Language of Thorns
  • King of Scars
  • Grace and Fury (I’ve heard this is really good too.)
  • Everless
  • The Princess Saves Herself in This One
  • Caraval
  • Aurora Rising (This sounds really cool!!!!)
  • The Antidote

Read:

  • Six of Crows (I don’t like it as much as everyone else, but I still want to read Crooked Kingdom and King of Scars.)
  • The Hunger Games Trilogy (I’ve always thought those black covers were so cool!)
Lauren: All unread.

On My TBR:

  • The Reader
  • Spellslinger
  • Truthwitch

Read:

  • Illuminae (I LOVED Illuminae! I read the physical copy along with the audiobook which I totally recommend! It’s the best way to read it! 😀 )
  • Allegiant (I’ve read the whole series, and I definitely liked the first two books better. I think I was just kind of over it by the time I finally got to this one, and I didn’t like Four’s POV.)
  • Splintered (The Wonderland building was really cool and I really enjoyed reading that aspect of it, but unfortunately I wasn’t a fan of the romance and it took up most of the plot. :/ )
Lauren: Also all unread.

On My TBR:

  • She doesn’t have it, but I’ve wanted to read the first book, Rebel of the Sands for a long time. 🙂
  • Viper (This sounds so awesome!)
  • Gilded Cage
  • Slated
  • Four Dead Queens (I really want to read this too. 😀 )
  • White Cat
  • City of Ghosts

Added to TBR:

  • Wunderkids (Wildwood Academy) (This sounds interesting, though Goodreads didn’t give me much. I’ve never heard of it before.)
Lauren: All unread except one on the top shelf.

On My TBR: (All of these sound so good! And the cover for The Binding is gorgeous!)

  • The Language of Fire
  • The Binding
  • Queens of Innis Lear
  • Storm Crow
  • She only has Ringer, but I still need to read the 1st book, Replica
  • Beneath the Citadel
  • Warcross
  • Spindle Fire
Lauren: Top shelf mostly read, bottom shelf unread.

On My TBR:

  • The Last Namsara (I might listen to an audiobook of this!)
  • Mirage
  • Stain (I’m a little hesitant cuz the cover reminds me a lot of Splintered which I didn’t love, but it sounds really cool and I’ve heard a lot of good things! Also I don’t think this one has a love triangle like Splintered?)
  • Hazel Wood
  • To Best the Boys (This sounds SO amazing and everyone seems to love it and I NEED it in my life! ❤ )
Soooo…what I learned from this was…I have a crap ton of books that I still haven’t read that everyone else has. But what else is new? XD But this was SO cool and fun to do so thank you Lauren for letting me browse your shelves! Don’t forget to check out her blog and send her a message if you’d like to participate too!

  1. Lauren’s shelves always give me lowkey envy, like honestly I wouldn’t want to put in the effort it would take to maintain such pretty and full shelves but on the other hand … *pretty*

ADSOM and Villains (Vicious & Vengeful) are my favorite Schwab books, admittedly I’ve nowhere near read all her works but these are definitely 💯 would also definitely recommend The Princess Saves Herself, Caraval, and To Best the Boys; and I’ve heard great things about Grace and Fury, Aurora Rising, King of Scars, and yeahhhhh a lot of these that I haven’t gotten to yet either 😅

  3. Howdy this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if
blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code
with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get
guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    1. Um I don’t know what WYSIWYG is, but I don’t think you have do it manually. WordPress has stuff built in I think so you don’t need much coding knowledge. I use websites like Freepik and Canva to make graphics easily and just upload them to my posts. I don’t have any coding experience and I keep up with my blog fine. 🙂
