The Autumn Book Tag!

Hey guys! Abi @ What Makes A Good Book tagged me for The Autumn Book Tag last month, so I thought this would be a good time to do it! Thanks, Abi! 😀 ❤

Are there any books you plan on reading over the autumn months?

Waaaaay too many. XD

September brings back to school memories: what book did you most enjoy studying? What were your favourite and least favourite subjects?

Ooooh, this is a good question. I know there’s a few books that I had to read for school that were actually really good, like these:

But I think my favorite was probably To Kill A Mockingbird, considering I’ve reread it twice, if you count the graphic novel adaptation.

As for my favorite and least favorite subjects, I haaaaaated math. I was so bad at it and it definitely did some damage to my stress levels and mental health through the years. :/ I enjoyed English/literature, obviously, but I sometimes enjoyed history, geography, and science depending on the topic. But my absolute favorites were art and choir when I had them. And in high school I was in a class (that was basically performing arts appreciation, which made more sense to explain than what it was actually called, which I can’t even remember now 😛 ) Where we literally just printed off wiki pages on acts that were performing at the performing arts center near us and studied them, then went on field trips to actually see their shows and write a one-page review for homework after. I was in that class for three years and we went to see a different show like once or twice a month both semesters. They got grant money for the program so I don’t even think we had to pay anything out of pocket? *Sighs* those were the days. I really miss that class and how my life was back then, and before covid existed to even make that possible. :/ It was so fun.

October means Halloween: do you enjoy scary books and films? If so, what are your favorites?

NOPE! But I have always loved Twitches since I was a kid.

With November, it’s time for bonfire night and firework displays. What’s the most exciting book that’s kept you gripped?

The last book I finished was this one, and it’s about a girl who’s family is in the Witness Protection program. It was definitely keeping my interest-there were some scenes where I was so stressed out for the characters. XD Every time I put it down I kept thinking about it and wanted to get back to reading find out what would happen.

What book is your favorite cosy comfort read?

I’m rereading this for the millionth time, and listening to the audiobook as I read this B&N edition I got for Christmas a couple years ago.

Curled up with a good book, what is your hot drink of choice?

I normally only have time to read before bed, so I’d need something without caffeine, so I’d drink water, tea, or hot chocolate.

Any plans you’re looking forward to in the next couple of months?

I get to be the one put together a Smile Project for my friend from church this month, so I’m excited about that. 🙂 Other than that, there isn’t any plans that’s going to happen for sure, so Idk.

Do you have an impossibly big fall TBR? It’s so unrealistic to think I can read all those books in such a short a mount of time, but I’ll still try. XD What’s your favorite thing about fall? I love all the colors, drinking chai tea and coffee, and wearing cozy sweaters/hoodies and boots. 🙂
