Top Ten Tuesday-Fall TBR!

Hey guys! Today for Top Ten Tuesday hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl, we are sharing our TBRs for the season, like we do four times a year. 🙂 I can’t believe it’s fall already! Actually an area near me got some early snow last night but we’re not going to talk about that. O.O I’ve got a lot of books on my list for the rest of this month and next month that I haven’t started yet and hope I can get to, so here they are. 🙂

I sometimes try to read books that fit the current season, but ultimately I just read whatever I want because I feel like it. 😛 But I’ve really been in the mood for contemporary mysteries ever since I finished The Rules for Disappearing, which I loved. I think Silenced is also set in late summer/fall maybe? So close enough I guess.

And I just need to read The Lost Crown because I’ve put it off forever and I want to read it before Romanov because I think I’ve owned it longer and it’s on the same topic. And Emma is mostly because I don’t want to read it in winter if it’s set in the spring, but I’ve missed spring and summer already and I just want to get it done before the end of this year because I’m going to use it for the Beat the Backlist prompt, “book you bought for the cover.”

Romanov because I read Fawkes last year and have been meaning to get to Nadine Brandes’ other books and this was next on my list. I told myself I would read it this year, but I haven’t yet and I just need to get to it!

I have no reason to read Love and Olives in the fall cuz all the books in this series are set in the summer, but I read Love and Luck in the summer and Love and Gelato around Valentine’s Day, so Idk I just thought I’d read this one in a different season than I read the other books in the series just because. 😛

Same with Heart of Betrayal. Also I listened to the novella, Morrighan, earlier this year, but I listened to the audiobook of The Kiss of Deception like three years ago now, which is crazy. I didn’t realize it was that long ago. It’s definitely time to continue this series.

I’m rereading Prince Caspian right now, so I’ll read Dawn Treader next as soon as that’s done. And last year I tried to challenge myself to do an “alphabet challenge” where I read book where the title starts with each letter of the alphabet in order, but I only found two books for A and B that I read in 2020, and as of now I am up to E with Every Hidden Thing, so at the rate I’m going this will take me forever. XD But I’m still trying to finish it slowly but surely. Libby has the audiobook of Flame in the Mist, so I’ll listen to that for F. There’s like a six week wait on my hold for it though, so it probably won’t be fall anymore by the time I get to it. XD

Sold on a Monday is for a library near me’s book club this month that I want to join, and The Lightness of Hands is my October random TBR jar pick that I’ll get the audiobook of on Kobo.

I’m really excited about my post for next Tuesday, because Top Ten Tuesday’s topic is a freebie and I’ve got a great idea for it! I’m going to ask people on Instagram to tell me what they’re interested in (hobbies, favorite things, elements they’ve read before and want more of, etc.) and I’ll recommend a book to them and post it on my story and here on the blog! I’m hoping to have a lot of people ask for recs so I can get some variety, so if you have Instagram, follow me @heather_frozenlibrary and shoot me a request when I post the story asking for help with the post sometime this week! 🙂

What books are you looking forward to this season? Do you pick your TBR based on the theme of whatever season it is or just read whatever anyway kinda like me? 😛 I’ll see you next week with a fun new TTT! 😀
