Top Ten Tuesday-Resources for Book Lovers!

Hey guys! Today for Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl’s Top Ten Tuesday we’re sharing our favorite bookish resources!

One-Goodreads!

I got my Goodreads account in 2015 and haven’t looked back since. I have no idea what I did before I knew it existed but now I don’t know where I’d be without it! I love tracking all the books I read and see how far I’ve come in my reading goals each year, and making an endless TBR list is too much fun…though it’s definitely getting out of hand. XD I currently have almost 3,000 books on my Want To Read list. O.o

Two-Libby

I love Libby. It’s definitely gotten me into listening to audiobooks! It’s an app powered by Overdrive, so if your local library uses it, you can plug in your library card to access their digital library and browse all the audiobooks and ebooks for free. πŸ™‚

Three-Rakuten Kobo

This is an audiobook subscription through Walmart like Scribd or Audible. I use my credit I get once a month to find audiobooks that my library doesn’t have on Libby.

Four-The Bookish Shop

If you’re in need of some fun bookish gifts, I love the Bookish Shop. They’ve got everything from tee shirts, candles, bookmarks, and they even create exclusive dust jackets for you favorite series! They’re where I got these gorgeous Hunger Games editions. ❀ They also have a subscription box. πŸ™‚

Five-Epic Reads

A fun company with a blog and YouTube that focuses on Young Adult books/news. They also have fun quizzes on their website and lots of resources. πŸ™‚

Six-The Literary Listography

I bought this at my local bookstore a few years ago, and I LOVE it! I have it almost completely filled out by now. It’s basically a journal where they give you a prompt on each page to make lists of all your favorite books according to genre, books that made you laugh, books that made you cry, favorite characters, songs that remind you of books, even books you don’t want to read! If you love books and making lists, this is a fun one to have for your collection. πŸ˜€

Seven-Paperback Swap

You can make a free account on this website and list any books lying around that you want to get rid of, and make wishlists for any books you want to own! When someone requests your listing, you send it to them and all you have to do is pay shipping. In return, you get a credit to use on requesting a book from someone else, and they send it to you for free. πŸ˜€ It’s kinda like an online Little Free Library.

Eight-Books Unbound Podcast

This is a podcast run by Ariel Bissett and Raeleen Lemay, where they casually talk about the books they’re reading, what’s going on in their lives, bookish news, and give recommendations. πŸ™‚ I don’t agree with their views on everything, but their friendship and love of books make me happy and make me wish I had a friend to start a podcast on books with!

Nine-NarniaWeb/Talking Beasts Podcast

I recently discovered this podcast on Spotify, and though I’ve only listened to a few episodes, it’s just so fascinating! If you’re a Narnia fan, you’re going to love NarniaWeb, the creators of the Talking Beasts podcast, where they discuss anything and everything Narnia-related both on the site and in the podcast episodes, such as theories for Netflix’s upcoming adaptations, (which shouldn’t be a thing imo) and they’ve even interviewed the actors of the movies! πŸ˜€ I’ve listened to Georgie Henley’s (Lucy) and Anna Popplewell’s (Susan) which were really cool.

Ten-That Artsy Reader Girl/Bookish Secret Santa!

And of course, how could I forget our host for Top Ten Tuesday? That Artsy Reader Girl! πŸ˜€ This is a blog run by Jana, who hosts this link up every week so other blogs can discuss our favorite bookish stuff. And every year she sets up a bookish Secret Santa exchange in December and Giftmas in July in July. πŸ˜€ Sign ups for the Secret Santa close on the 31st, and she doesn’t have many spots left, so click the link and read all about it if you don’t want to miss out on the fun! ❀
