About Me

Here is a little bit about me and why I decided to start writing a blog about books:

Technically, I started blogging when I was in middle school and it was really my mom’s idea. I really didn’t know what to write about, so I wasn’t all that interested in it, and it flopped pretty quickly. Then, when I was a little older, my friend showed me some BookTubers on YouTube and I was inspired! These people really shared my love of books and I felt like I could relate to them. I thought becoming a BookTuber one day might be fun, but I had some problems: I am pretty shy, soft spoken and not very photogenic. Also, I have no idea how to edit videos and I am not sure if I would be able to do something that time consuming.

So, I know I have always been much better expressing myself through writing rather than speaking, so I decided to start a blog dedicated to my love of books in January 2017. I started out on Blogger, but now I moved to WordPress to fully commit! 🙂

My old blog’s name was The Frozen Book Blog, but I decided to change this one to The Frozen Library, so it’s only a little bit different. The idea is that my blog can have a perpetual winter theme, like in Narnia or Winter in Snow Like Ashes. Also, mostly the reason is because I am a proud Alaskan born and raised, so it’s sentimental to me and I thought it would be fun to say: “the cold literally never bothered me anyway” as a joke. 😛

So with that said, here is some info about me:

My name is Heather, and as I said above, I grew up in Alaska. I’m in my 20s, and I am an aspiring writer who hopes I can one day be a Middle Grade and Young Adult fiction author. Because these are the books I would like to write, I read them the most, with the occasional adult book. I usually like to read all kinds of fiction except for maybe horror or romance, though I will read romance depending on how prominent it is in the story and if the main plot looks intriguing. So, these are the kind of books I will often talk about.

I am very excited to share my love of reading and writing and I really hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I know I will enjoy writing it!

Fun Facts About Me:

I have been to four other countries: Honduras and Belize on a cruise with my family when I was six, about five road trips through Canada to get down to and back from the Lower 48, and a student trip to Australia during the summer when I was 15.

I am an only child.

My birthday is January 3rd.

Some of my favorite TV shows are Once Upon A Time, Castle, and This Is Us.

I love pasta and chocolate. 😋

I would take mountains over beaches any day!

I love Disney!

And I like to read multiple books at a time. 😉
